Kevin is a retired U.S. Air Force servicemember/veteran, active firefighter, and paramedic, as well as an Associate Clinician and Master of Social Work (MSW) graduate with a focus on military and veteran care, trauma-informed practice, and first responder treatment. He provides individual therapy for service members, veterans, first responders, healthcare workers, and their families. Kevin supports clients navigating stress, anxiety, depression, workplace challenges, trauma, and relationship concerns. He understands the unique weight of service—whether from exposure to traumatic events, moral injury, or the cumulative stress of demanding roles.
If you feel overwhelmed by your experiences or isolated in your struggles, you are not alone. Drawing on over 25 years of military and public safety service—including four combat deployments as a flight medic and senior leadership roles such as Chief Master Sergeant (E-9), Fire Captain in a large urban fire department, and Critical Incident Stress Management team leader—Kevin brings a grounded, lived understanding of the pressures faced by those in helping professions. His experience as a paramedic and peer support specialist further strengthens his ability to connect authentically with individuals facing crisis, trauma, and life transitions.
Kevin strives to create a safe, collaborative therapeutic environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. He approaches therapy as a partnership—walking alongside clients while offering tools, perspective, and support, and honoring each individual as the expert of their own life. His work is grounded in a strong personal faith, which shapes his commitment to compassion, empathy, service, and purpose. When appropriate and aligned with a client’s preferences, he is open to integrating faith into the therapeutic process in a respectful, client-centered, and supportive way. This framework helps clients build insight, increase psychological flexibility, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
In his clinical work, Kevin integrates a strengths-based approach with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), narrative therapy, and motivational interviewing. He emphasizes values-based action, practical problem-solving, and the use of existing strengths to promote resilience and meaningful change. Clients often describe his style as conversational, collaborative, calm, and approachable—balancing professionalism with authenticity in a culturally competent manner filled with humility.
Kevin is passionate about serving those who serve others and considers it a privilege to support individuals, families, and communities connected to military and first responder life.
